Selected Works
Steven A. Ramsey grew up in Houston, where he attended the University of Houston for a short time but later transferred to the Cleveland Institute of Art (1983) in Cleveland, Ohio and earned his BFA in glass. Steven continued his education earning his MFA, from Illinois State University (1989) where he was a student of Joel Philip Myers. Steven A. Ramsey held a tenure position as professor of foundation studies at the Savanah College of Art and Design in Savanah, Georgia, where he taught courses on digital applications for sculpture as well as architectural glass preservation techniques. In 2014 The University of Nebraska at Kearney, in Kearney, Nebraska, appointed Steven A. Ramsey as assistant professor of glass and sculpture for its undergraduate programs. Ramsey’s work was selected for inclusion in the Corning Museum of Glass, New Glass Review 29 in 2008. Steven Ramsey’s works have been exhibited throughout the United States over the past 20 years.
