| Prior to our move from our current space in Louisville, Kentucky the gallery has chosen to highlight the aspects of influence and lineage in the studio glass movement within our region. Stephen Powell and his 20 year history as the Head of the Glass program at Centre College is our point of departure. We have also invited two additional glass department Heads, both graduates of Centre College, to exhibit new works. Patrick Martin, at Emporia State University, Emporia, Kansas and Che Rhodes, formerly of Southern Illinois University and now the Head of the newly established Glass program at the University of Louisville have, in turn, selected former students who have recently passed through their respective programs to exhibit with them. Stephen Powell was also asked to invite a group of recent graduates to participate. The result is an outstanding, surprising and diverse group of work which we are pleased to present for your consideration. |
